Booking is the worst shit company you can cooperate with. We rent out a cabin with them, the second we have enough of our own bookings, we cut them off. They owed us money over a month in summer (they were rebuilding their payout system - WTF??), those f'rs even started taking fee for money transfer (so it costs them nothing) couple years back.
Customer support is a joke.
I really hope one day they will go bankrupt. Also their idiotic system in which you CANNOT WRITE PROPERTY DESCRIPTION is mental. You fill in the form and they make completely idiotic text out of it and translate it to all languages. So our cabin with porch is Room with terrace and beautiful view to the garden. In the beginning they even try to scam us with some "local tax deduction". I got angry and made them remove it.
We have lots of guests who arrive and are surprised, because the description is co plete nonsense.
We pay our taxes ourselves, they would simply keep high percentage of our already low money they give us after their sky high commission

There are certain apps that I want up to date always. Is there an app store client, or an app that automates this? play store only allows enabling auto updating for all apps.
You can uncheck Update Automatically in each app’s Play Store listing. I have Revanced Youtube & YT Music. If you click on Update all, it will ask you every time for each of these if you want to also update them. Autoupdating in background works better, it simply doesn’t update.
Their sofa is every sofa we have (3). And our bed. We actually have two rattan chairs with pillows for them by our table. While we sit on wooden chairs ourselves.
I’m looking for something like Heimdall, but a little bit more lightweight, hopefully something I can just throw into my www folder. Nothing requiring Docker. Just lightweight stuff.
I’ve made wireguard tu nel out to VPS (to circumvent CGNAT). Dns server works, web server + Gitea, Jellyfin,… works. All the stuff running on my thin Ubuntu client. What doesn’t work is forwarding the RDP port to my windows machine. No firewall on the windows machine. Used to work before CGNAT got enabled by my ISP. I’ve...
On my server inside, or the VPS sitting out on the internet? wireguard doesn’t start if I put it into PostUP on my server. Yes, I’ve changed the interface to enp1s0 and port to 3389
I’ve got 4G modem. It runs DHCP/gateway for the network. From that it is a mix of wifi routers, one dumb switch and things sitting on powerline connected parts of the network (outside wifi routers for power monitor, guest wifi round the property, etc). All is running on 192.168.1.xx , only the wg0 interface is 10.1.0.2. My ubuntu server runs just my web server, adguard home, jellyfin, etc.
She is 1 and half years old, is very smart and good at communicating with other dogs - friends with everyone, never has any problems. She is very stubborn, if she decides to do something, she does it. When she was little, she used to go out of the house in the garden and one day decided that she would take a look at the road. So we managed to take her behind the garden fence. The next day she got more far. After several tries she managed to check out the road. After that she didn’t do it again. Very determined to do stuff she wants to do. When we are closing the dogs from the play yard, she immediately recognizes that we are closing them and that she still wants to be outside. And keeps distance from us, doesn’t listen and avoids corners, so she doesn’t get into a trap. We’ve learned to let her be, she will let us catch her when it is the right time (for her). She is a very lovely dog. And super cute.

Nothing is falling apart for them. Do you remember IE times? “Everyone” hated it, “everyone” used it just to install Chrome/Firefox/whatever on new devices. And yet - the vast majority never even thought of using anything else.

As much as I really really hate that asshole, this was a success. The hot staging technically worked and the Starship got to space. Iterate on the booster top heat management and fix whatever went wrong with Starship and it will be fine.
