Always dabbled, but working with Docker has really made me commit to learning it. Also the ease of spinning up linux on cloud systems is a joy.

Antiperspirant makes me sweat bucket loads. I just use a bit of deodorant and wash properly

Horseshoe crab in Ho Chi Min city. It was alright. Not much meat.

Mind you I’ve eaten a lot of stuff that could be considered exotic. Jellyfish is pretty good.

I’ve had jellyfish several times. It’s pretty great with toasted sesame seed oil. Sea snails are great too.

Balut. I was going to try it

The swords of iron war? Have they already named it. And they have given it the most ethno-fascist, deus-vult name conceivable.

In Cienfuegos in Cuba the lady was showing us around the room we were staying in at her house. After she left my girlfriend came up to me cringing and said there was a huge cockroach on her leg. No sooner had she finished telling me this that the lady came out of the opposite room stamping her feet on the floor chasing this monster cockroach. I swear she stamped on it three times before it stopped running.

I didn’t start till I was 25. You have nothing to worry about.

I was there. Well worth it just to see that good people do exist.

An opinion is one thing. Speech that has the intention of hurting others and/or inciting violence against others is another thing entirely.

    Flyberius ,
    @Flyberius@hexbear.net avatar

You see on one extreme you have people stifling legitimate opinion, and then on the other you have people advocating lynchings. There isn’t a simple answer, but the answer certainly isn’t to smugly sit in the middle and pretend you have it all sussed just because you have no skin in the game. Ultimately all you are doing is advertising that you are ok with lynchings or whatever other forms of bigotted violence because it doesn’t effect you.

Death to America, death to the west, death to America’s allies.

This is my gf in the Kitchen. Well, this is her in any room in the flat. Somewhat frustrating because she sure as shit didn’t treat the flat she lived in with her mates like that…

They are all characters from the show Suits. I used to be subjected to it by my girlfriend. The whole show is corporate fetishism. It’s like House, but with lawyers. The average episode revolves around characters finding clever ways to fuck over old acquaintances, usually in the course of representing their incredibly shitty clients. Every single characters is an unlikeable arsehole who works from 5am in the morning to 2am the next day and spends the remaining 3 hours of free time drinking whisky in their office and brow-beating their colleagues who are also still in the office in the middle of the night.

I fucking despise it. It is formulaic trash.

Guy on top left is suave boss man lawyer. He drinks the most whisky. Guy on top right is his plucky upstart protégé lawyer. He drinks the least whisky. Guy at the bottom is the comic relief lawyer. I can’t remember if he drinks whisky.

I once posted some stuff in a signal group about China’s school building efforts in Africa and the Middle East and a lib friend piped up saying “Colonialism is colonialism, whether it is done with schools, or with bombs”. Good lord that annoyed me.

    Vue + Express + Typescript + Postgres

Though I am playing around with Firebase and Firestore at the moment so that simpler projects have less backend overhead

I’ve used Nuxt a few times, but I end up in absolute hell sometimes tracing down bugs and incompatabilities. More so with Nuxt 3. Probably not an issue for more experienced Devs.

I find myself coming back to the simplicity of running a separate backend, even though that reintroduces a lot of the problems that Nuxt alleviates.

Did the cake arrive in half an hour? I mean, would they be able to deliver a hot meal because you suddenly decided you couldn’t be bothered to cook that evening.
