Our content delivery network (CDN) is Cloudflare. We use their service to provide an extra layer of security (DDoS protection, WAF rules, etc.), improve site reliability, and optimize our users' performance via a low latency static content caching policy at the network edge. Anonymized browser information, IP addresses, DNS lookups, session information, and static user generated content (images and text) may be stored and transmitted via the Cloudflare network.
Object storage, which includes image attachments, videos, etc., is hosted with Cloudflare R2.
We utilize hCaptcha as part of the user registration process to reduce the amount of spam/bot accounts that attempt to signup on kbin.run. Please review hCaptcha's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before proceeding with user registration on kbin.run.

kbin.run is part of the Fediverse, a network of decentralized social media platforms. This means our users can communicate and interact with users on other platforms like Lemmy, Mastodon, Pleroma, Peertube, Pixelfed, Calckey and more. Be aware that we are not responsible for information once it has been federated, nor can we verify that other fediverse nodes respect a request to delete your information.
